14 Bolt FF Build
Modified By Mud-Nut on 4/19/2008 4:19:49 PM)

Hey everyone, as most of you already know, I blew up a bunch of parts in my rear axle (Ford 9"). So, I'm upgrading to a 14 Bolt FF. I'll be doing the swap as soon as I get home for the summer next week. I'll be doing an entire article write up whenever I'm done as well, but I figured I could post some pics in the forum for now.

Here's the axle, bought it from a good friend of mine for $250.

I hate drum brakes... Especially when they fill up with mud. So, I'll be doing a disk brake conversion on this axle. Here are all the parts:

RuffStuff caliper brackets

Chevy 3/4 Ton rotors

Chevy 3/4 Ton calipers and pads

That's it for now.... But I'll be posting some more pics whenever I get home and begin the swap! Feel free to ask any questions.

Re: 14 Bolt FF Build

I've been working on it a bit.... I'm not going to post all the details yet (that will be all in the article, whenever I get around to writing that). I'm just going to post some pics of the progress:

By the way, the brake shoes look new!!!! So, if anyone needs them, let me know.
